FACIAL FAQ
WHAT IS A FACIAL?
A deep cleansing of the skin, light exfoliation that nourishes the skin promoting a clear, well hydrated supple appearance. Please note, by stimulating the skin through massage or exfoliation your skin will be pink or become flushed during and after treatment. Don't be alarmed this is normal and will subside.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET ONE?
We recommend 4-6 weeks as our cells turn over every 28 - 40 days. So, it all depends on your skin type and the goals you are trying to achieve. Dry skin should be seen more often in the winter whereas oilier skin in the summer.
PROPER HOME CARE
As this is a professional treatment we recommend maintaining proper home care after your treatment. If you are new to home care start with the easy stuff. A proper cleanser, moisturizer and SPF will be recommended.

BIKINI WAXING, DOES IT HURT?
This is a loaded question. I never tell anyone that it is pain free, hair is being removed from a very sensitive area. It all depends on your pain tolerance, hair follicle size and the nearing your menstrual cycle. You can ask anyone and they will tell you one thing the first time is the worst, but it gets better. Why? Frequently removing the the hair causes damage, less hair comes back and over time the texture and density thin out.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WAX?
For best results, you should wax every 4-6 weeks. No shaving between waxes, as this disrupts the process; it will feel like the first time all over again.
I SHAVE, HOW LONG DO I WAIT?
Give it a good two weeks to grow. Hair that is too short won't be removed by the wax.
IF I'M PREGNANT CAN I GET WAXED?
Yes! Whether you are at your due date or in the early stages it is safe however waxing during pregnancy can cause more pain than normal. We offer additional pillows for your comfort upon request.
WILL MEDICATIONS AFFECT WAXING?
Yes! No waxing for 6 months if you've taken Accutane. Antibiotics that have an affect on the skin or enhances sensitivity to the sun. Retinol, Benzoyl Peroxide or similar active prescription products must be discontinued for 7 days prior to waxing. These medications often thin out and weaken your skin making you more sensitive.
WHAT ABOUT INGROWN HAIRS?
Most ingrown hairs subside with waxing, however there are a select few who have a predisposition to them. Exfoliation is a key factor in keeping the ingrown hairs at bay.
